Lindsay

Well, miss Lindsay went to our DAN! doctor who is a holitistic MD because we have been worried about her "stomach issues" and her recent dramatic weight loss. Well, turns out she has Chronic Pancreatitis causing inflammation which is also causing her pain. We also took her to our Chiro to get her started there and she has some motor issues along with balance problems. She will be going to him 3X a week and also seeing a Physical Therapist to develop stronger muscle tone and to help her brain identify a "dominant side" because she still isn't a definite righty or lefty. She will be on probiotics also and they ran some tests for food allergies as well. She is such a strong girl I guess we never realized how rough she has it with that poor belly of hers. Unfortunately without even knowing of each others visit with Lindsay both doctors said she is probably vaccine injured just like Landon but she developed different symptoms. This news does not shock me, only tells me what I need to do to make her better. We are really looking forward to a healthy and happy summer for these kids. It only gets better now!

Spring House Update

Yes, it has been a lifetime since I have updated my blog, what can I say, I'm one busy chic! So here it goes. It's all good on the home front. Lindsay is doing awesome still in Kindergarten, a little sassy these days, working on taking that down a notch. She has informed me she wan't to marry her "best buddy" Aidan when they grow up. She actually got in a little confrontation with a little girl that tried to walk on Lindsay's turf and be his friend for the day. That's my girl, ha! She received her mid-term report (yes they do that in Kindergarten), and she is doing everything she should be at this point which makes us VERY happy!
Landon is improving. He is playing with toys, loving on strangers and being his sweet self. We started taking him to a chiroprator and it has actually helped him out. He got sick with this flu that is roaming around and I refused to put him on antibiotics so I took him to the Chiro instead. He kicked it within 2 days. I am still sick 1 1/2 weeks later. Something is working! He now loves therapy, huge change for sure, and even gets excited when the therapists walk in the door. If I have learned anything it is to not be skeptical of anything, every child is different and sometimes it just takes time for them to warm up.
Jim and I are great, just got back from a great conference on Autism. I posted a link to the YouTube video of the movie we watched while there. It was amazing and we learned so much in a matter of two days. Now, our next trip needs to be Vegas or somewhere warm. It's been a heck of a couple of months in the Spring house.
I just want to say thank you to everyone who has been writing and calling to check in on us. We appreciate your well wishes now that we are taking a little different path in parenting than we expected but we wouldn't change it for anything. Take care everyone, till next time!!!!
